Who we are
First Step, a subsidy of Wellness Foundation, a local non-profit agency, in partnership with CCSD and Sunrise Children's Foundation is developing an Early Head Start program at the William Bennett Elementary campus. Our goal is to provide a top-notch early childhood educational program and family support services. We serve pregnant women and children 6 weeks to 3 years of age. The program operates year round.
About Early Head Start
Early Head Start programs provide similar services as preschool Head Start programs, but they are tailored for the unique needs of infants and toddlers. Early Head Start programs promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants and toddlers through safe and developmentally enriching caregiving. This prepares these children for continued growth and development and eventual success in school and life.
Accepting Applications
Now accepting applications!! While our classrooms at Bennett are being renovated, we are providing our home-based services. Families interested in our home-based services will be eligible for our center based services, provided there is a purpose for care. Use the link below to complete the interest form.
